Howdy mates,
We’ve tweaked our backend to ignore crawling reddit & youtube links in our real-time mode. The reason?
- For Youtube, we want to build a dedicated mode where you can put in your own youtube link as the article source. Since it’ll come eventually, we’ve removed this source from our real time result to enhance the source data quality.
- For Reddit, it’s notoriously hard to scrape them now given their API restriction. In fact, many 3rd party apps are forced to shutdown due to Reddit’s recent policy change. Hence, we are removing this source until we find a better solution to get data from them.
Finally, we also made a slight performance improvement to our article generation speed (about 5-10% faster if you can ever notice) so you should get to your articles even faster now.
